  1. The transit in Callaghan is good right now, but could be better. There is only 1 bus route I can take to get me to Century Park LRT station which gets me to work downtown. If it runs late, or if I miss it, I must wait for the next bus 15-30 minutes away. There has been a bus route "coming soon" along JMT since I moved to the neighbourhood 3 years ago. I would like to see this route in action sooner rather than later.

  2. My apologies, just saw the comment. I have similar experiences like your even in what's considered a "core neighbourhood". After a few experiences when one misses a bus by just a couple minutes, and has to wait in the cold for 30 minutes, he/she is more likely to give up on bus transit and revert to driving. For some people driving might not be an option for various reasons. In that case, that will be one very frustrated commuter. We have to find ways of getting people efficiently from point A to point B. I am of the belief that we need to look at Bus Transit as a long term investment. I would like to see Express busses, or even Bus Rapid Transit with separate lanes where we can. BRT is cheaper and faster than LRT to implement. With efficient connecting service, will encourage more people to consider public transit and we can grow it with future LRT.
